Things To Consider When Buying A Back Massager Cushion

Back Massager pain

If you’re looking to buy a back or lower back massager but need help with how to go about it, do not worry, this review is here to help you. There are various types of massagers in the market. Different massagers are made for the different target areas of the body. Some people can select a foot massagerhandheld massager, massage chair, etc. But here are some things you ought to consider before purchasing that will guide you to purchasing the ideal back massager.

Personal Taste

A back massager is a very personal device for personal use. Before purchasing one, you have to do research and read a lot of reviews available online. Look at the pros and cons and even test one first, if the retailer allows it, before purchasing.

Portability

Some massagers are generally (and logically) less portable than others. Such as massage chairs and massage seats. Where you will be using your back massager comes in here. For example, much movement is optional at home or a massage parlor, and portability isn’t an issue.

Lumbar cushions and manual massagers are better suited to carry around. Some have built-in straps for easier transportation and versatility, for they can be strapped to any chair at home, in the car, or at the office, for a professional massage on the go.

Features Like Acupressure, Heat, And Etcetera

Massaging capabilities only on a massager might not be enough for some. They should not be enough. Modern back massagers are given a variety of extra features. They now come equipped with electrical pulse therapy, heat therapy to extra acupressure ridges to relax muscles or relieve pain, depending on your need. Look for features that are best suited to your needs or condition.

Intensity

back pain

This is one of the essential features to consider—the overall strength of the back massager. Most heavy-duty massagers are recommended for people with back pain because they offer deep-tissue massages. You know more than 60 to 80% of the United States population has low back pain. However, there are gentler massaging devices, so opt for these if you are sensitive to intense massages.

Also, some have different intensity levels, from low to medium, then high. Depending on your preference or condition, pick one that suits you best. Because for example, if you have back pain and go for a massager with high intensity, it might cause more pain than relief, so again, research here is your friend. Also, remember to test it out first, if possible.

Manual devices allow the user to control the back massager’s speed and intensity. With electric massagers, though, it is recommended that you find out the massager’s intensity from reviews and online research first.

Pregnancy Or Some Illnesses

For pregnant women or diabetics, any severe illness, thrombosis, have a pacemaker or have had any recent surgery, please avoid it. It is at risk of developing blood clots and should consult with the physician before using a massage device. Research is essential to do research before purchasing a massaging device for home use. You must ensure you are not putting yourself and your health at risk.

Final Words

In conclusion, owning massage chairs and cushions is excellent on many levels. It saves you those trips to the spa, it is convenient, and you can have your massage anytime, please. Massages are essential to your overall health; they help relax and unwind, relieve pain, and soothe tight muscles.

Buying the best back massager is a very personal endeavor, which is why you have to put a lot of thought and research into it to make sure that the one you buy is the one that will best suit your needs. These reviews are some of the best in the market, and given that extensive research and analysis have been done on every one of them, pick one of these, and it is sure to provide you with your value for money.

  1. I’ve tried Snailax and Zyllion Shiatsu massagers and they just didn’t massage and support my low back good enough. My L5S1 disc is mostly degenerated. I bought a Massage Lynx Shiatsu massager a couple weeks ago on amazon because it has a bunch of massage nodes working all at once to support your whole back. It feels more thorough with all those different size nodes working together adjustable to a high speed and it supports my low back way better! I don’t have to use the Massage Lynx for as long as I needed to use the others.
